Parents & Friends
Welcome
The Xavier College P&F Association would like to take the opportunity to welcome you and your family to the Xavier College community. Whether this is your first association with the college, or a continuing one, we greatly appreciate your support of the college by enrolling your son or daughter.
The P&F takes on the following roles in the life of the college:
- to promote the aims and principles of Xavier College
- to raise funds for the advancement of Xavier College (N.B. Gifts given to the P&F directly, or through participation in fund raising events, are not tax deductible.)
- to provide a forum in which members may deliberate on matters relating to the spiritual, educational and social welfare of the College community
Meetings and Presentations
P&F meetings take place on the first Tuesday of each month during term time.
The meetings follow the conventional format for business meetings, with issues relevant to Xavier College discussed, and events planned. Sometimes guest speakers are invited to attend and speak at these meetings.
The college is represented at all meetings, usually by the principal or assistant principal.

Major Functions
Each year the Ps&F Association endeavours to provide extra facilities for the students. In recent years the P & F has provided air-conditioning in classrooms, information technology to support teaching and learning, and enhancements to the college playing field.
Our major fundraiser, the annual Xavier Walkathon, is held during Term 3. Other small fundraising events, such as a Bunnings BBQ or trivia night are usually carried out during each of the other terms. Information regarding these activities is always promoted in the college newsletter, The Companion or in separate flyers.
Share the spirit
We welcome ideas and assistance from all our families to enable us to play a part in providing the very best of educations in a safe and modern environment. Your input would be greatly valued. We invite you to come along to our meetings and become involved in your children’s school community life.
