Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) has celebrated outstanding success at the 2026 NSW Training Awards (Western Sydney & Blue Mountains region) with five students and two teachers named as finalists - including two students who took home major awards.
The NSW Training Awards recognise excellence in Vocational Education and Training (VET), celebrating the achievements of students, trainers/teachers, registered training organisations and employers. Winners were announced at a ceremony in Castle Hill on Thursday 28 May.
CSPD Head of Learning Pathways John Gildea said the achievements highlighted the continued strength of VET programs across CSPD schools, which provide students with meaningful, future-focused learning experiences and real-world industry pathways.
“Achieving finalist recognition and winning categories are a great testament to the students’ commitment and passion for VET and to their teachers and CSPD VET team whose guidance, encouragement and expertise played an important role in such pleasing recognition and success.
All the students spoke passionately about how VET learning has been powerful, practical and positive in helping them chart their future beyond school,” John said.
