Fish

Xavier College is famous for fostering brilliant artistic talent and this was seen during Creative and Performing Arts Week when the students painted a giant fish.

Students had the opportunity to add beautifully decorated scales enhancing the visual power of the work and creating a community buzz.

CAPA Week also saw a school-wide creative arts trivia competition, which saw Mackillop House proving how well they prepared.

Then it was time to hit the stage when students showed off their skills in the first Xavier Karaoke competition. There was laughs, cheers and a great time had by all.

CAPA Week 2017 proved to be a fun and informative week which reflected the many and varied talents of everyone at the college.

Xavier’s artistic flow continued when students in Year 12 showcased their HSC works in Visual Arts, Music, and Construction.

This year’s works were of a very high standard and the combination of exhibition and performance proved to be a popular format.

These works were then judged by NESA assessors as major works for the students’ HSC results in these subjects.

On the night, Kyle Stanford and Emily Kowal shared the Principal's Award, while the People’s Choice Award went to Fujiya Babu.

We wish these students all the best for their HSC.
