Alana Angeli with Sue Walsh and Bishop Anthony Fisher OP
Alana Angeli from Xavier Catholic College, Llandilo recently received the annual Bishop of Parramatta Award for Student Excellence, which recognise the religious and academic achievement of senior secondary students across the Diocese of Parramatta.
Alana is Captain of Xavier College. She is an exemplary role model to all students, having held leadership positions throughout her junior years. Academically, she is conscientious and self-driven, achieving the Most Outstanding Student Award for three consecutive years.
Alana is a talented sportswoman, acquiring a brown belt in martial arts and winning numerous tournaments over the last 6 years. She has played representative cricket, softball and soccer and has represented the College in soccer, futsal, cricket and athletics.
Alana involves herself in many aspects of her parish, including teaching childrens’ liturgy, as a catechist and being an integral part of liturgical celebrations. She has a passion for supporting youth and this year was selected as a member of the National Mental Health Week Forum.
Alana lives out the values of the College in her dedication to service, and her selfless commitment to others.
