Over the course of Year 12, Visual Arts students were required to create a body of work that reflected one years worth of work, using any medium of their choosing, about any topic of their choosing.
The works shown in this year's Showcase were of an exceptional quality and included drawings, paintings, sculptures and ceramics. 2020 and Covid-19 meant that both staff and students had to navigate through uncharted waters in terms of teaching and learning. For this reason, I am extremely proud of this cohort in particular, who displayed a mature, adaptable and resilient learning approach.
2020 has been quite a challenging year for our Year 12 cohort, and this has been true especially for those completing major projects in Industrial Technology. This year our students have been ambitious with the projects they have produced and have challenged themselves to produce projects that resemble industry standards.
Students have produced multimedia projects, graphical designs, industrial solutions, a number of high quality timber products. We have been very impressed with the calibre of projects that our students have produced, particularly when we consider the disruptions to learning caused by Covid 19.
Some of the projects presented this year represent some of the best work ever produced by Industrial Technology students at our college. We would like to thank all our Industrial Technology students for their hard work and application this year, and wish them all success in their future endeavours.
