R U OK?
Thursday 10/9 is R U OK day. This year's message is 'There's more to say after R U OK?'
Throughout tutor group on Tue-Fri students will be required to sit in groups of 2-3 to ask questions that begin with ‘are you ok?’ and then go further. Tutor group is the first point of contact for many students in our schools and the perfect place to develop strong connections with their peers.
The aim is to start a discussion that require students to engage in deeper, more meaningful engagement with their peers.
Throughout the week students will also be roving reporters in the yard at recess and lunch asking students some of the same questions focusing on how we as a community continue to care for our neighbour even in a year that has bought significant challenges.

Commitment to Close the Gap clear for Western Sydney Catholic schools
Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) has released its first annual Closing the Gap report. This report outlines its contribution to improving socio-economic outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly students and their families. CSPD Chief Executive Officer Jack de Groot said the report reflects the dedication of CSPD’s 6 500 staff in fostering reconciliation and equity through the organisation’s 80 outstanding school across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

Bishop of Parramatta recognises student excellence
Each year, one Year 12 student in every Catholic secondary school in the Diocese of Parramatta is awarded the Bishop of Parramatta Award for Student Excellence. This prestigious award is nominated by the school principal and recognises a student’s witness to their Catholic faith and outstanding contribution to the school community in areas such as academic excellence, sporting achievement, creative and performing arts, social justice, vocational education and community involvement.
